Young People’s Mental Health Week

Posted on 07th February 2020 | News

As part of Children and Young People’s Mental Health Week, students from St. Mary’s Grammar School joined with other schools across Northern Ireland to participate in a live Q&A webinar with the Northern Ireland Commissioner for Children and Young People on Tuesday 4 February 2020.  Presented by CCEA, the webinar focused on children and young people’s mental health and well-being.  Koulla Yiasouma was joined by Mairead Monds of Childline and young people who have been involved in NICCY’s Mental Health research (‘Still Waiting’) and the youth-led Elephant in the Room mental health project.  The webinar gave pupils the chance to ask a panel of peers and experts questions about mental health and well-being issues.
