Year 9 pupils in St. Mary’s Grammar School attended an introduction to the Take 5 Steps to Well-Being model.

The presentation was delivered on Friday 28 February 2020 by Selena Ramsey from the Northern Trust and Chris Lindsay from the Education Authority ahead of the pupils’ participation in a ‘Take 5 Day’ on 12 March 2020 in collaboration with pupils and staff from Sperrin Integrated College, Magherafelt.  The initiative has been organised by the Magherafelt Learning Partnership and also involves Year 9 pupils from St. Pius X College, Rainey Endowed School and Magherafelt High School.  The aim of the ‘Take 5 Day’ will be to engage pupils in a range of activities to promote their understanding of the importance of connecting, learning, being active, taking notice and giving to others in maintaining good mental and physical health.
