Many thanks to the Gaelbhratach committee for organising a bake sale in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day. The Gaelbhratach committee is formed by a group of Year 13 and 14 pupils who commit to promote the language and culture in St. Mary’s. Inspired by the desire to spread some ‘Irishness’ around the school, the committee sourced some St. Patrick’s Day buns and treats and sold them throughout the school raising money for Trócaire. Students were encouraged to use Irish when purchasing the buns and were taught a few phrases on the day. Their huge effort raised over £600 with all proceeds going to Trócaire. Go raibh míle maith agaibh go léir as ucht bhur gcuid oibre!Read More
