BUSY BEES
Posted on 13th January 2022
The Spelling Bee competition, aimed at pupils in their first year of learning Irish, encouraged learners in building their target language vocabulary. Pupils were given a list of vocabulary selected by NICILT in Queen’s University, Belfast to learn and took part in a competition in school in January to correctly translate and spell as many words as possible in one minute. Frank McKeever (8D) was the top speller and is now invited to compete in the Grand Final, which will take place virtually on 11 March 2022. Second place was awarded to Rachael Gribbin (8F) with Eddie Convery (8A) taking 3rd place. Congratulations to all the pupils who took part! Maith sibh ar fad!
