St. Mary’s is the school of choice for a large number of internal and external students interested in pursuing Sixth Form study.
Sixth Form in St. Mary’s is a very attractive proposition due to the wide range of qualifications on offer, excellent careers guidance, leadership opportunities and state of the art sports facilities. Additionally, we have added a Sixth Form Common Room with tea/coffee facilities as an opportunity for students to balance the demands of A Level study with the benefit of social interaction with peers. Our Trust Protocol initiative, which permits eligible students to leave school early once a week, builds upon these opportunities to develop independence and maturity.
In addition to the high percentage of St. Mary’s pupils who choose to return to the school following GCSE study, many students from other post-primary schools within the school’s catchment area also seek admission to St. Mary’s Sixth Form.
St. Mary’s will consider all applications against the admissions criteria set by the school each year. Details of the admissions criteria and application process for entry to Sixth Form can be found below.
