Thursday 1 October 2026 Annual GCSE Pupil Celebration 2026 The GCSE Celebration & Awards Ceremony was a wonderful occasion, bringing together pupils, parents, staff and guests to recognise and celebrate the achievements of our Year 12 pupils. The afternoon provided an opportunity to reflect on the hard work, determination and resilience demonstrated throughout their GCSE studies, while acknowledging the successes they achieved along the way. Guest speaker Mary Angela Taylor encouraged pupils never to underestimate their abilities, to work hard in all they do, and to remain open-minded to the opportunities and experiences that come their way. A range of awards was presented throughout the ceremony, recognising outstanding academic attainment, exceptional progress, commitment to school life, and valuable contributions to the wider school community. Thursday 1 October 2026 Annual A2 Pupil Celebration 2026 A Profound Farewell to the Class of 2026 St Mary's welcomed back our departing pupils one final time for our A2 Celebration Event, providing a wonderful opportunity to reflect on their time with us, celebrate friendships forged along the way, and recognise the many achievements of an exceptional year group. We were honoured to be joined by guest speaker Mr Frank Diamond, whose inspiring address combined valuable life lessons with fond and humorous memories of his own time at St Mary's. Drawing on his experiences in the mental health sector and as a parent, Frank shared words of encouragement and wisdom that resonated with pupils as they look towards the future. Awards were presented in recognition of achievement across academic, sporting and musical fields, alongside special recognition for bravery, resilience, and the consistent demonstration of our school values. Thursday 1 October 2026 Year 14 Formal 2026 We had a fantastic evening at our Year 14 Formal on Friday night. It was wonderful to see our students enjoying a well-deserved celebration with friends, creating memories and marking an important milestone in their final year of school. Thursday 26 February 2026 Empowering Young People: Ending Violence Against Women and Girls Workshop On Wednesday 25 February 2026, St. Mary's welcomed Jude Millar from Healthy Lifestylez to deliver a presentation to all Year 10 pupils on Ending Violence Against Women and Girls (EVAWG). This presentation followed the very successful workshops attended by pupils in Years 11 – 14 in November 2025.
