ABBEY DAYS

GCSE Drama students from St. Mary’s travelled to the Abbey Theatre in Dublin on Friday 8 September 2023 to enjoy a production of ‘Juno and the Paycock’ by Sean O’Casey.  Directed by Garry Hynes, the performance was part of Druid O’Casey’s current staging of the playwright’s Dublin Trilogy.  Prior to the show, students had the opportunity to take part in a backstage tour of the Abbey Theatre and see behind-the-scenes of key departments including costume, hair and make-up, and props.  All agreed that it was a darlin’ day, a daarlin’ day!
