Drama Trip to London - January 2008
9.1.2008On January 9th 2008, a party of forty eight Year 11 and 12 Drama students and six teachers travelled to London for a four day visit. Highlights of the trip included a workshop at the Young Actors Theatre with Ryan McBride, the creative director of the smash-hit musical Billy Elliot and actress Cassidy Janson, who plays the lead role of Elphaba in the highly acclaimed production of Wicked.
The group also enjoyed workshops on "The Crucible" during their visit to the Victoria and Albert Museum and on "Macbeth" at the Globe Theatre.
The students, of course, managed to fit in a morning of retail therapy on Oxford Street, an afternoon in Madame Tussauds and an evening outdoor ice-skating at the National History Museum.
A wonderful trip thoroughly enjoyed by all!
